About the accountancy firm
Pentagon Talent are delighted to be partnering with an award winning, dynamic and growing Top 30 Accountancy Firm in the City of London to recruit for an Audit Semi Senior to join their ambitious creative, media and technology team. This firm prides themselves on challenging, supporting and developing their employee's skill set whilst also going above and beyond to provide an exceptional service to their varied client portfolios.

Duties and responsibilities
As an Audit Semi Senior you will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Running and assisting on audits, in compliance with the firm's and statutory procedures, for a variety of clients across the Creative, Media &amp;amp; Technology sector
  • Show willingness to work as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines
  • Travel to clients' premises and work around clients' working hours as necessary
  • On some of our smaller clients, you will act as senior reporting directly to the manager. For these audits, the individual would be responsible for the planning of the audit file right through to the completion sections including drafting the financial statements, the management letter and the letter of representation;
  • Supervise and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team as agreed by the senior

Qualifications and skills required
Our client are looking for a someone with a flexible work attitude, pro-active mindset and a collaborative team player. In order succeed as a Audit Senior you will:

  • Will have had experience of leading small audits from the planning stage right through to the completion stage including supervising junior members of staff within your audit team
  • Be familiar with and have an awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and audit and are required to ensure compliance
  • Have experience preparing accounts.
  • Have excellent communication and management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Be in the process of studying for the professional stage of the ACA qualification or ACCA equivalent
