About the accountancy firm
Pentagon Talent are delighted to be partnering with a vibrant and evolving Top 50 Accountancy Firm in the City of London to recruit for an Audit Senior. You will be joining an ambitious audit team where you be challenged, supported and able to develop your skill set. Our client pride themselves in going above and beyond providing exceptional service to their varied client portfolios.

Duties and responsibilities
As an Audit Senior you will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;

  • Overseeing the audit process within the agreed timescale with guidance from the relevant Manager or Partner.
  • Supervising junior members of staff and leading teams on assignments.
  • Working on a diverse portfolio of clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders.
  • Planning, executing and seeing the audit work through to completion at a high standard.
  • Production of draft accounts, from a variety of client records, together with producing a well presented audit file (paperless) for review.
  • Auditing tax computations.
  • Drafting management letters and reports.

Qualifications and skills required
In order succeed as a Audit Senior you will:

  • Be ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • Up to date working knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing standards, company law and good basic knowledge of corporate and personal tax to enable draft tax computations to be reviewed.
  • Have experience preparing accounts.
  • Have excellent communication and management skills.
  • Ideally have knowledge of Pro-audit and CCH.
