Duties and responsibilities
Our client are on the look out for an eager and passionate Payroll Supervisor to join their growing team. You will be carrying out a range of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to;
- Liaising with clients and entering payroll data from start to finish
- Reconciling payroll to client data, getting client approval as appropriate and issuing payroll reports & payslips
- Reviewing team member's work
- Preparing payroll journals
- Reconciling weekly and monthly PAYEF figures
- Preparing BACS files
- Administering Pension Auto-enrolment including making appropriate declarations to The Pensions Regulator
- Producing and distributing pension scheme returns, including notification of changes in members' status and uploading to pension provider
- Dealing effectively with queries from clients, and HMRC and other parts if the business
- Assisting with on boarding new clients.
- Share knowledge internally and externally
Qualifications and skills required
Our client are looking for someone who can show evidence of being a proactive, hands-on team player who is confident in working to changing priorities in a busy department with a keen eye for detail. They should have good working knowledge of statutory family leave, SSP, salary sacrifice, pensions,etc with excellent excellent communication. They must also have [ayroll bureau experience and be able to calculate tax, NI, pensions, etc. manually
