Contract: Fixed-term (~12 months, Maternity Leave Cover)
Reporting to: Senior Group Finance Manager

Pentagon Talent have partnered with a leading global Magic Circle law firm who are seeking a Group Finance Advisor for a 12-month maternity leave cover in their London office. This role involves key responsibilities in group reporting, including period-end financial reviews, FX gains/losses analysis, and preparation of preliminary group financial results. The advisor will also monitor new leases and support year-round financial tasks. The responsibilities will cover all international offices for the firm, with day to day communication with local accountants and senior finance professionals.

Responsibilities for the Group Finance Advisor:

  • Conduct office financial results analytical review
  • Review office bad debt provision submissions and FX gains/losses
  • Prepare preliminary group financial results for CFO/ExCom
  • Review valuation of WIP and convert LLP accounts for Tax
  • Calculate rates split for offices on shared matters
  • Prepare specific notes for Group Financial Statements
  • Monitor new leases and extensions

Qualifications and key requirements for the Group Finance Advisor:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA preferred)
  • Confident, self-assured, and extremely organized
  • Experience in routine company reporting
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting standards
  • Analytical review skills
  • Experience with Tableau and SAP desirable

Team Structure:

The Financial Reporting team oversees the firm's financial results, manages the budget process, tracks KPIs, and supports global finance. The team consists of 3 advisors and 1 analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager.
